  2. Do Have All Signers Present: Ensure that everyone required to sign the document is present at the time of notarization.

  3. Do Bring Complete Documents: Have your documents fully filled out, but do not sign them until you are in the presence of the notary.

  4. Do Read Your Documents Before Your Appointment: Be aware of the contents and purpose of your document, as the notary may ask about your understanding of it.

  5. Do Schedule an Appointment: For the best service, schedule your notarization appointment in advance, especially for mobile notary services.

  6. Do Ask Questions: If you're unsure about the notarization process or what you need to bring, feel free to ask beforehand.

  7. Do Pay the Required Fees: Be prepared to pay the notary fees as per the state's fee schedule or as agreed with the notary.

  8. Do Respect the Notary's Professional Boundaries: Understand that a notary can only provide notarial services and not legal advice.

Don'ts for Clients of CB Traveling Notary

  1. Don't Expect Legal Advice: A notary is not a lawyer (unless otherwise qualified) and cannot provide legal advice or guidance on your documents.

  2. Don't Sign Documents in Advance: Do not sign or date the document prior to the notarization appointment.

  3. Don't Bring Incomplete Documents: Ensure that the document is fully filled out, as a notary cannot notarize incomplete documents.

  4. Don't Ask to Notarize Illegitimate Documents: A notary cannot notarize documents if there are signs of fraud or illegal activity.

  5. Don't Forget Required Witnesses: If your document requires witnesses, ensure they accompany you and have valid identification.

  6. Don't Expect Notarization Without Proper ID: Notarization can't be performed without proper identification of all signers.

  7. Don't Pressure the Notary: Understand that notaries are bound by state laws and regulations and cannot act outside of these rules.

  8. Don't Ignore the Notary's Questions: Be prepared to answer questions about your willingness and understanding of the document you are signing.
